Direct to garment printing, also known as DTG printing, digital direct to garment printing, digital apparel printing, and inkjet to garment printing, is a process of printing on textiles and garments using specialized or modified inkjet technology. A DTG printer is for garment and specialty inks (inkjet textile inks) that are applied to the textile directly and are absorbed by the fibers. All direct to garment printers are descendants of the desktop inkjet printers. Direct to garment (DTG) printing is most commonly implemented on garments that are made of cotton or cotton blends, although recent developments in technology have allowed for superior performance on light colored polyester and cotton/poly blends.
With this relatively newer technology we can print on light and dark garments, with a fast drying white ink to offer exceptional colour and longevity that you would expect out of your garments. Once the garments have been printed they do need to go through a flash dryer in order to back the print to the garments. But other than that you could essentially wear that newly printed garment hot off the press!
Exceptional full colour digitally printed garments? It can't get any better than that. Enquire today! Minimum orders of 12-24 shirts for this method is mandatory.
